Nadia has been a dental assistant since 2004. She enjoys working at Downtown Dental Care because of its friendly, team-oriented staff. She loves working in all areas of the field but has a particular appreciation and passion for surgical dentistry.
A handsome husband, two beautiful daughters and three active grandchildren are her pride and joy. Originally, from the Ukraine, Nadia and her family made the big decision to move to this wonderful land of opportunity in 2002. She is always glad to serve as an interpreter in the office.
Kim – Dental Hygienist
Kim is one of our full-time hygienists whose smile is as contagious as her enthusiasm for her work. She enjoys working closely with patients to provide them with the proper tools and education that they need to maintain a healthy smile.
Kim is a Portland native who attended PCC and graduated with honors in 1995. She is a proud mother of three daughters, two of whom graduated from the University of Oregon. She and her husband are big Duck fans!!
Heather – Dental Hygienist
Heather attended Dental Hygiene school in Orem, Utah where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Dental Hygiene. She has a passion for oral health promotion and wants to help all of her patients have a comfortable experience. Heather was born and raised in Wenatchee, Washington. She loves to travel; during her second year of college she spent time studying abroad in Granada, Spain. She also loves spending time with her two sisters that live in Salem, Oregon and Chicago, Illinois and the rest of her wonderful family that is back in Wenatchee.
Chelle – Office Administrator
Chelle is Dr. Christianson’s wife and splits her work between home and the office – if you visit the office on a Thursday, chances are you will see her. With over 12 years of experience in the dental field, she can’t imagine doing anything else as she absolutely loves it! She started as a sterilization technician and worked her way up to office management, giving her a complete working knowledge of all aspects of dentistry.
Chelle loves being mom to 3-year old Claire, and full-time stepmom to Joe and Matthew. Born and raised in the PNW, she is a huge Trail Blazers fan. Chelle loves to cook, she and Dr. Christianson enjoy gardening their own fruits and vegetables. She is also hoping to go back to work on getting her private pilot’s license.
Michelle – Office Administrator
Michelle has worked in the dental field since 1989. She began as an assistant and then switched to office administration, giving her an understanding and appreciation for both front and back office aspects of dentistry. Building long-term relationships and helping create beautiful smiles are the most rewarding aspects of her job.
In her spare time, she is an advocate for the American Diabetes Association in support of her niece who has type 1 diabetes. Every year, she and her family are a part of Tour De Cure in Portland. She is also a football fan, Go Hawks!
Cyndi – Front Office Admin
Cyndi relocated to Portland, Oregon from Wapato, Washington in 2006 to start a career in the dental field, starting as a dental assistant. After a year, she realized front office admin was more her field - dealing with dental insurance companies in getting services provided for patients and going to bat for patients when it comes to getting their benefits.
Cyndi is an active member in her church singing in the choir. When is not doing that, she is shouting for her SEAHAWKS, and while watching the game she is crocheting. She is so happy to be an employee at Downtown Dental Care. Working with Dr. Kirk Christianson is such a blessing.
Sarah – Dental Hygienist
Sarah attended dental hygiene school in Baltimore, Maryland. She was her class president and graduated with high honors. Sarah enjoys volunteering and recently spent time in Haiti providing dental hygiene care. She is an Oregon native having been born and raised in Central Oregon.
Natalia – Dental Assistant
Natalia is a registered dental assistant with radiology, expanded functions, and orthodontic certifications. She graduated from Renton Technical College in 1998. Although she is experienced with many aspects of the dental office, she is most passionate about helping create beautiful, healthy smiles and the confidence and happiness it brings to people’s lives. In her free time Natalia loves to spend time with her family hiking, cooking and traveling.
